There are many external factors that can traumatize your hair and scalp and cause hair breakage and hair loss. One of them includes the use of hair adhesive remover among other chemicals. Most women at one point in their lives find themselves using hair adhesives and removers when adding hair extensions.

Once you face yourself with this problem, you will need to embark on a special treatment that will help get rid of it. The special treatment requires that you change your methods and how you deal with your hair and scalp. The treatment period can last several months and this gives your hair and scalp enough time to recover.

Constant and consistent care should be given to your hair and scalp during this period. You should avoid the use of the adhesives and chemicals that could be attributed to the problem until your hair recovers. This allows your hair to have a stable environment for it to recover quickly. You can then reintroduce them carefully.

The recovery process is however based on the extent of the damage to your hair and scalp. But basically, it can range from four weeks to several months. What you should remember during this time is that you must offer your hair the same treatment throughout this period. Think of your hair as a patient in a hospital who is in a critical state. The patient needs constant care with the treatments and medicines being delivered consistently for the patient to recover quickly.

When dealing with chronic hair loss and breakage, the stabilization program can last up to twelve weeks before moving to the maintenance part of the treatment. During this period the main focus is to stop the hair from further loss and breakage. The stabilizing program can include shampooing your hair regularly while maintaining a balanced pH on the hair and scalp. Deep conditioning using a protein moisturizing and stabilizing conditioner will help naturally repair, rejuvenate and rebuild the hair.

As you apply the deep conditioner, focus on the hair weak areas. It is recommended that you use your hands to apply the conditioner instead of a comb. You should rub it in from the top of your head gently. Always handle your hair in a gentle manner and not roughly.

It is always important to sit in a dryer to allow the conditioner to work on your hair. Thereafter you should rinse the conditioner off your hair using warm water. When drying the hair after rinsing, towel blot your hair by carefully squeezing the strands.

Hair vitamins help in stabilizing hair breakage. They work by filling in the thin areas of your hair shaft and increasing the hair elasticity. You should apply the hair vitamins next and focus more on the weak areas of your hair.

As you go through the special treatment, you should stay away from all heating tools. This includes blow dry, flat iron, curls, and presses. You should use a roller setting instead and before setting on the rollers, apply the sculpting lotion on your scalp.
